Cross-docking
From inbound to outbound
With cross-docking, goods do not go into racking first. They arrive, are unloaded and checked, sorted by destination and put back on transport as quickly as possible. It suits goods that already have a destination, such as store replenishment or resold batches.
Stockwell is in Bleiswijk on the A12, about 17 km from Rotterdam and 45 km from Maasvlakte, so containers from the port reach us quickly. If the cargo arrives loose, we put the cartons on pallets. If goods need to stay longer after all, they go into pallet storage in the same warehouse.
