Container unloadingand storage
From container to pallet
Importing by sea container through the Port of Rotterdam? Stockwell unloads containers at our warehouse in Bleiswijk, about 45 km from Maasvlakte. Palletised cargo is unloaded by forklift, loose cartons by hand, palletised, wrapped and labelled.
Everything is counted on arrival and discrepancies are reported straight away. The pallets then go into storage at the standard weekly rate.

Frequently asked
How many pallets fit in a 20ft container?
The floor takes 11 euro pallets or 10 block pallets. Pallets up to about 1.15 m high can be double stacked.
How many pallets fit in a 40ft container?
The floor takes 24 euro pallets or 20 block pallets. A 40ft High Cube is 30 cm taller, so double stacking is possible more often.
Do you unload loose cartons too?
Yes. Loose cartons are unloaded by hand, palletised and wrapped, then go straight into storage.
How much does container unloading cost?
The price depends on the container type, the number of cartons and whether the cargo is already palletised. You receive a fixed price within one working day.
Can the cargo stay with you after unloading?
Yes. After unloading, the pallets go straight into storage at the standard rate from €2.00 per pallet per week.
